An interesting strike. There is a little black around the front of the ear when tilted at the right angle. Beautiful, though. There's is also some black on the eagle shield on the reverse.

There is some very light speckling under the chin on the obverse. Also some extremely light speckling on both sides of the T in LIBERTY. The hair has some light golden toning. The reverse has some speckling on both sides of the olive branches and the arrows, with a more pronounced spotting under the U in UNITED and above the H in HALF. For a 23 year old coin, not overly bad. Planchet is a 4, die is a 5, and strike is a five. (4,5,5).

A fantastic coin with clear fields and relief. Relief stands out clearly and is pronounced as it should be. Crisp, exciting to look at and enjoy. The heraldic eagle is especially prominent and beautiful.

This is a beautifully struck coin, with near black fields. I can find only marks on the casing, but the coin is undisturbed. A coin that does not have any visual injury.

4, 5, 5, The mirror like surfaces at 10 o'clock and 4-6 o'clock appear to be very lightly mottled. I'm not sure if this is a planchet defect. But the "shiny spots" are irregular and when at the correct light angle, interefer with the "watery surface." Thus a 4 on the grading for the planchet. Light splotchy toning. Perhaps it needs to be dipped. The photo shows a smear at the bottom right, about five o'clock. This is a reflection, not on the coin or on the holder.
