1774-Mo FM 8 R Calico-1108 MS63+ PCGS #408978

Yonaka-M8-74 - Lustrous and original with beautiful cabinet toning. Currently the best example of this date certified as the only MS example at PCGS with only 3 others at NGC, but all in lower grades (60-62).

1775-Mo FM 8 R Calico-1109 MS61 PCGS #670017

Yonaka-M8-74 - Fantastic color with just a hint of friction. The least abundant normal type in the 1772-1821 8 Reales Portrait series.

1776-Mo FM 8 R Calico-1110 MS62 PCGS #170235

Yonaka-M8-76 - One of the most original examples of this date ever encountered. Pedigreed to Archer M. Huntington Collection.

1780-Mo FF 8 R Calico-1120 AU58+ PCGS #159832

Yonaka-M8-80 - An attractive, high-end example with a great strike and wonderful color starting to develop around the periphery. One of the first coins graded with a "plus" designation in 2010 and one of only 6 AU58's worthy of a plus across the entire Mexico Colonial Milled 8 Reales series.

1785-Mo FM 8 R Calico-1127 MS63 PCGS #412508

Yonaka-M8-85 - Best certified example of this date. Ex Morton & Eden's March 2013 sale of the Archer M. Huntington Collection. Part of lot #365. Ex HSA 1001.1.850

1786-Mo FM 8 R Calico-1129 MS62 PCGS #670094

Yonaka-M8-86 - A fantastic specimen superbly toned in shades of golden orange, indigo and rose on the obverse, with cool silvery blue and sea green on the reverse. Ex Morton & Eden’s March 2013 sale of the Archer M. Huntington Collection, one of three coins offered in lot #365. While not the highest graded at PCGS with one other coin in MS63, it does, in my opinion, possess superior eye-appeal to that specimen (cert# 17233896)

1787-Mo FM 8 R Calico-1131 MS61 PCGS #392869

Yonaka-M8-87 - Toned with lustrous blue and rose highlights among devices. Pedigreed to Archer M. Huntington collection and previously residing in an NGC61 holder.

1789-Mo FM 8 R Calico-950 CAROLUS IV AU58 PCGS #410557

Yonaka-M8-89-IV - A very special coin with legitimate claims to an MS grade (ex:NGC MS62). Slight strike weakness on the bust, as often seen in this series, with an incredibly mirrored obverse exterior.

1791-Mo FM 8 R Calico-953 MS63 PCGS #670072

Yonaka-M8-91 - Fantastic strike, color and luster. ex: NGC63

1793-Mo FM 8 R Yon-M8-93 Calico-955 AU58 PCGS #670031

Yonaka-M8-93 - Rich multicolored toning with a decent strike and luster. Another borderline MS example with just a touch of obverse friction. Ex: Hidalgo Auction (July 2009) Lot 443 in NGC AU58 holder.

1795-Mo FM 8 R Yon-M8-95 Calico-958 AU58 PCGS #670027

Yonaka-M8-95 - Lustrous coin with gentle rose toning.

1800-Mo FM 8 R Calico-965 MS63 PCGS #513245

Yonaka-M8-100 - Deeply toned MS. Seeing this piece makes you instantly imagine an old mahogany cabinet with beautiful coins carefully resting atop velvet-lined shelves for decades.

1801-Mo FT/M 8 R Calico-971 MS63 PCGS #263353

Yonaka-M8-101c - Amazing example of this over-assayer variety with largely gunmetal grey toning on the obverse and a vividly colorful and lustrous reverse. Previously in an NGC MS63 holder.

1802-Mo FT 8 R Calico-975 AU53 PCGS #513253

Yonaka-M8-102 - Electric blues and reds light up this lustrous coin. I did not expect to see these colors on a colonial 8 Reales.

1808-Mo TH 8 R Calico-1306 Ferdinand VII AU58 PCGS #513276

Yonaka-M8-108-VII Type B portrait - One of the uniquely toned signature coins from Morton & Eden's March 2013 sale of the Archer M. Huntington Collection. A wild toner with about the most intense emerald green, aubergine and golden orange color I've seen on this type. Part of lot #388 ANS Inventory #1001.1.9729 donated to HSA in 1946

1808-Mo TH 8 R Calico-1306 Ferdinand VII MS63 PCGS #513276

Yonaka-M8-108-VII - Gorgeous example of this abundant date in the Ferdinand VII Armored Bust series. Type A portrait, which is the most likely candidate for the first portrait design, as it occurs most frequently in 1808 and less so in 1809. This is also a sub-type with Ferdinand's mouth slightly open. An overall pleasing coin with a multicolored patina.

1811-Mo HJ 8 R Calico-1317 Armored AU53 PCGS #513287

Yonaka-M8-111, Calbeto-865 - Beautiful patina. Weak strike and some reverse planchet defects.

1819-Mo JJ 8 R Calico-1334 MS64+ PCGS #151192

Yonaka-M8-119, Calbeto-887 - Single finest of the date at either NGC or PCGS as of August 2019. A superior representative of the type with lovely smokey golden-grey tone over the lustrous fields with areas in the peripheries that exhibit rich multicolored patina.
