Housed in an older blue tag holder, this is a wonderful example from this low mintage date. As the mints focused on churning out millions of Morgan dollars, the mintages of other silver coins dropped. Only 8,000 examples were struck for circulation and they are quite scarce in such a lofty state and rare finer. The strike is bold and sharply defined; the fields are smooth and clean. Attractive and high quality, this coin offers a lot to the collector. PCGS 11, NGC 5. The most recent example sold for $3,600 in October 2019. Today the PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,500.
