- Noyes Die State C. Frosty, generally medium brown surfaces retain glints of faded pinkish-red mint color in the protected areas around many of the design elements. The latter is more prominent on the reverse, which side also reveals intermingled blue-gray patina, and is rotated nearly 45 degrees clockwise from normal coin alignment. Late die state with peripheral softness, although largely affecting only the border denticulation since the design elements range from bold to sharp. This is a handsome Choice Mint State middle date large cent, smooth apart from a lone obverse flan flaw that is out of the way at the upper right border and does not detract.
