FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION Ex Cheyenne Collection What a great start to a a collection of Proof Buffalo nickels. We LOVE this series, as it has a lot going for it! It is short, completable, and without any major rarities it is affordable in most grades for collectors. Not only that, when they are nice, they are NICE. This SUPERB GEM is better than "nice." Both sides offer a lovely iridescent toning that enhances the matte surfaces. Sharply struck devices stand out against flawless surfaces. The eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 145, NGC 97, CAC 51. Three are just 3 in 66+ the last one sold for $3,600 in November 2017. More recently we sold a PR66 CAC for $3,525 in our June 2019 Regency Auction. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,000. Fewer than 80 have been graded higher at PCGS, making it scarce finer.
