详细说明: Stunning Cameo Proof 1897 Dollar in Ultra Gem Preservation 1897 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-68 Cameo (NGC). A fabulous condition rarity from this 1890s Proof silver dollar issue. This breathtakingly beautiful specimen exhibits the lightest, slightly mottled silvery tinting to surfaces that present as brilliant at most viewing angles. The design elements are fully rendered from an expert strike that has also imparted bold contrast between frosty devices and deeply mirrored fields. The 1897 is from an era in which the United States Mint produced many of the finest-looking Proofs in the Morgan silver dollar series. Along with those of the 1896 and 1898 issues, the typical Proof 1897 dollar is fully struck with good field to device contrast, as here. Many such coins are expertly preserved, causing this issue to often be selected to represent America's favorite silver dollar in high grade Proof type sets.
