- The Crimson Collection. Sheldon-11 (R.4+) die marriage, and evidently S-11c given the limited ability to view the edge. Die state III has clash marks in front of the portrait joining those below the chin that are already accounted for by DS-II. In this later state, the rim features minimal beading even though this example was struck almost perfectly on-center. Dark chocolate predominates almost completely to create a low-contrast appearance, although flecks of faint orange-brown show under a loupe. The more important obverse side has very little by way of impairment, amounting to a few tiny pits on the forehead and a blunt but shallow blow to the cheekbone which has toned over completely. Several curious hairline pinscratches show on the reverse but are also unobtrusive, having toned in as well. This side shows fewer than a handful of surface nicks to top off the list of abrasions.
