- WOW! This is a FRESH to the market VERY CHOICE early Seated Liberty quarter. Housed in an old green tag holder, and graded to slightly tougher old standards, CAC deemed this piece undergraded and awarded it with a coveted gold sticker. It is important to note, this is the ONLY MS63 with a gold sticker in the entire No Motto Seated Liberty quarter type! Richly toned on both sides with a dappled slate and dove gray with iridescent accents that come out in a light. A pearly silver underlying tone comes through with a brilliant satiny luster. Sharply struck up, this coin has a wonderful classic, old time collection look. While not Norweb or Eliasberg, it looks like many coins that came out of those two classic cabinets. PCGS 10, NGC 2, CAC Gold 1. Only a handful of examples have ever graded finer at PCGS. A PCGS MS64 CAC, which was the Gene Gardner coin, sold for $16,450 in October 2015. The Collectors Universe prices in MS63, 63+, and 64 are: $5,500, $7,000, and $20,000 respectively. The strike is bolder on the present coin and is sharper in the centers than the Gardner coin. The finest PCGS has graded is MS65 and none have sold in 20 years! This is a very important opportunity for the advanced collector that cannot be taken lightly. Good luck. Bidding will be very strong. Cert. Number 1577111 PCGS # 5397.00
