FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION A wonderful, high end GEM that boasts outstanding original toning which ranges through all the desired colors! This is certainly one of the finer pieces known today. The surfaces are highly reflective in the fields while the devices show classic frost. This is a coin that any specialist will love for its toning and quality. Only 1,100 were struck in Proof. PCGS 31, NGC 33, CAC 9. This GEM sold for $2,585 in our October 2015 Regency Auction (it did sell previously for $3,600 in the 2013 ANA auction). More recently we sold a non"+" example for $2,938 in October 2017 and another non "+" sold for $2,880 in June 2018.
