详细说明: 1892 Barber Quarter. Type I Reverse. Proof-67 (NGC). An amazingly beautiful Proof Barber quarter from the first year of the design type. A mix of deeply iridescent rose and sea green adorns the frosty central motif, with richly active crimson, sunset orange, and bold gold occupying the balance of the obverse. The reverse is another miniature work of art , with pale lime green at the center giving way to concentric halos of fiery orange, bold crimson, violet, and deep lilac. From a mintage of 1,245 Proofs, a robust figure no doubt because of the novelty of the new design type. We note that only a half dozen Proofs of the date have been accorded a finer grade than the present specimen by NGC. As gorgeous as you are ever apt to find -- if boldly toned 19th-century silver coins are the hallmark of your cabinet, we suggest you make room for this beauty.
