- THE CENTRAL ILLINOIS HOARD OF RATTLERS A much scarcer date than the 2,165,800 mintage might suggest. This is a lustrous example that displays sharply struck devices and a bold brilliance throughout. Warm golden hues show a faint haze when rotated in a light and a couple of contact marks on Liberty's cheek are accounted for in the assigned grade. The eye appeal is very pleasing overall. PCGS 1,103, NGC 771. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $4,500 and the most recent examples have sold in the $3,600 to $3,960 range. Conditionally challenging in MS64 or finer, we doubt that there are many examples in this grade left in these original "rattler" PCGS holders. Cert. Number 9035744 PCGS # 9054
