A PQ SUPERB GEM that is tied for second FINEST graded! Incredible quality for the date, which is rarely seen in MS67 or finer grades. Despite a large mintage, compared to other dates, the population is quite low. Fewer than three dozen have graded MS67 or finer, just two are graded higher than this one, both MS68. Brilliant, satiny mint luster radiates boldly over the ultra smooth, clean surfaces. Totally original, there is a pearlescent luster in the centers, framed by gold, blue, and rich orange color at the obverse periphery. Nicely struck with just a a touch of typical softness to Liberty's curls above her ear. Clearly this coin has been cared for since it left the mint. Boasting a classic, old time collection look, the eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 33, NGC 12, ACAC 7. Only 3 are graded MS67+ and there are 2 MS68s graded higher. The last MS67+ was a white coin, selling for $20,400 in September 2019. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $22,500 and the last MS68 sold well over a decade ago. This is about as fine as you will ever hope to own and will see very strong bidding. Bound for a very high end and high ranking PCGS Registry Set. Cert. Number 38032773 PCGS # 7250.00
