1914 Barber Quarter. Proof-66 (PCGS). CAC. This is a low mintage Proof date that reflects a mere 380 pieces coined in this format. Gems of course are scarce--in fact the entire issue is scarce! This prized Gem is toned with wisps of greenish-gold and lilac in varying shades crossing both the frosted devices and highly reflective fields. Examination of the surfaces finds few signs of contact, and thus the eye appeal and technical surface grade are well above what is commonly found on this date.
