THE SO-CAL COLLECTION OF MATTE PROOF LINCOLNS WOW! What an amazing example! We love this SUPERB GEM! Tied for FINEST graded by PCGS in the Red Brown category, and deservingly so! Beautiful, gently mellowing rich red satin surfaces have a bold Matte finish with hints of iridescent toning that appears when rotated in a light. Totally original, the colors (emerald, soft blue, pale orange) are a delight to behold. Boldly struck throughout, the eye appeal is spectacular. The mintage was 2,145 Matte Proofs struck for collectors. PCGS 17, NGC 9, CAC 7. There are just five graded PR66+ RB at PCGS and NONE FINER at that service. We sold the last two examples: this one for $11,750 in February 2021 and one six years ago for $12,338. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $14,000.
