This remarkable example features frosted design elements and deeply mirrored fields. Add a light amount of smoky patina and a splash of golden color on the reverse and the enchanting picture is complete. The strike is sharp throughout including the first obverse star and the viewer's left corn cob at the bottom of the reverse wreath. We have handled well more than our share of top-notch Liberty nickels in our day, but we can easily declare the present piece to be among the finest we have seen. Choice, appealing, and waiting for the right collector to place a winning bid.<p>
