详细说明: Half dollar mintages dropped drastically in 1879 following passage of the Bland Allison Act. Most mint operations focused on Morgan dollars and gold. Only 12,000 1890 half dollars were struck for circulation and, like many low mintage issues, a number of 1890 half dollars boast Prooflike characteristics; precious few are fully Proof like and certified as such by the services. This coin looks like a full on Proof striking with boldly brilliant, reflective fields and beautifully toned surfaces. The details are sharply struck up and stand out against the watery fields. Blue and purple peripheral toning surround peach-rose-gold in the centers. The eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 2, NGC 3. Just one is graded higher.
