- A classic example of this classic KEY date early Lincoln cent. High end quality and ultra close to a GEM Mint State grade, this coin has a sensational look. At first glance you would think this coin was a full RED! Lustrous, radiant red surfaces have just begun to mellow with soft violet overtones. Well struck with bold definition on both sides. The surfaces are satiny smooth and devoid of any contact. A few minor blushes of tone can be seen at various angles attesting to the originality. PCGS 259, NGC 41, CAC 36. There are just six in MS64+ RB. The most recent PCGS MS64+ RB CAC sold for $6,900 way back in November 2011--essentially a DECADE ago. The current Collectors Universe value is $5,750.
