- This beautifully toned Superb Gem displays the boldest and more varied colors at the left obverse border and throughout the reverse. Obviously a former Mint set coin, but an especially well preserved one that approaches numismatic perfection. Fully struck with satiny mint luster that shines forth powerfully at all viewing angles. While this is the most frequently encountered issue of its type in certified MS-67 FBL and MS-67+ FBL, we leave bidders with these words of caution from series specialist Rick Tomaska (2023): "There are no common-date Franklin halves in MS-67."
