- PHILIPPINES. Octavo, 1773-M M. Charles III (1759-88). PCGS VF-30 Gold Shield. KM-3; Basso-5; cf.Cal-Type 191(date not listed). VERY RAREearly date. Typical crude manufacture. Far nicer than normally encountered, though slightly uneven. Slightly mis-aligned dies with a partial four digit date. Semi-glossy with attractive patina. A wholesome problem free example with good honest wear. An exciting piece sure to see interest from many collectors. Estimate: $200 - $300. Provenance: From the Ray Czahor Collection. Purchased privately from Karl Stephens, c. 1986.
