详细说明: Lot 318 1799 S-189 R2. PCGS graded VF-20.Medium steel brown and light chocolate. The surfaces are smooth, void of any trace of corrosion or verdigris. No spots but there are some small contact marks scattered over both sides. The notable marks are a dull nick on the upper lip, a tiny rim bruise opposite the neck, a thin diagonal nick in the hair left of the neck, and a vertical nick up from the right top of the C in CENT. MDS, Breen state IV, with minor crumbling in the dentils at OF-AM. The date and LIBERTY are strong. A very nice example of this tough date. Graded F12 net VG10 by Noyes, his photo #61024. Our grade is F15 sharpness net F12+. This cent was featured in the March 2009 issue of Coin World in an article titled "Grading U.S. Large Cents" by Michael Fahey (ANACS chief grader). It was plated in the article to illustrate the VF20 grade and is called a ". choice example for the grade with nice surfaces and color."
