详细说明: Truly a very pretty, essentially GEM Proof 1881 Morgan. Indeed in the days before professional coin grading, this would have been called a full GEM grade. Highly reflective, deep, clean, and clear mirrors beam from all over on both sides. Sharply struck and fully frosted devices stand out boldly from the mirrored fields with dramatic cameo contrast that arrests the eye. Pretty peripheral coppery gold toning graces both obverse and reverse. A few minor lines can be seen, but none are distracting to the otherwise superb eye appeal for a PR64 CAM Morgan. Only 984 Proofs were struck. PCGS 27, NGC 12, CAC 10. The last one to sell was in our July 2018 Regency Auction, realizing $5,170, prior to that, one sold in June 2018 for $4,320, and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,500.
