- Sparklingly Lustrously Argent Pei Yang Dollar (t) CHINA. Chihli (Pei Yang). 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), Year 29 (1903). Tientsin (East Arsenal) Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS MS-61. L&M-462; K-205; KM-Y-73; WS-0632. Variety with period after "YANG". A tremendously lustrous and wholesome Mint State Chihli Dollar, this Dollar demonstrates much charm and allure far beyond what might be expect for the grade. The surfaces dance and shimmer with an argent vivacity that is only occasionally touched by golden orange toning at the peripheries. A touch of friction is seen on the characters' side, with no other appreciable contacting seen. An example that is certain to capture many excited bids. Estimate: $5,000 - $8,000.
