- Ex Simpson, as noted on the insert. A rare Pattern Seated Liberty quarter, struck after 1866 for sale to collectors, it mates a regular Proof quarter die from 1863 and a with MOTTO reverse die (post 1866). Struck in silver with a reeded edge, this is a very challenging Rarity-7- pattern with fewer than a dozen thought extant. These were struck for collectors and sold in sets with the motto GOD OUR TRUST on a ribbon and in the field and the adopted IN GOD WE TRUST on the ribbon. Deep mirrors beam boldly from all over. Like what is on a regular issue, the mirrors are clean and have strong clarity. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors have tremendous blast and look like glass. Both sides are covered in a natural mix of gold/rose-violet/green/blue colors. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and are fully struck. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin sold for $8,400 in January 2021 and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $10,000. From the FINEST Pattern collection of all time--SIMPSON. Now is your chance to own this important rarity. Cert. Number 40276489 PCGS # 407449
