The Garrett-Blue Moon Specimen 1894 Barber Half Dollar. Proof-66 (PCGS). This richly original half dollar exhibits mottled reddish and olive-copper peripheral toning around a silver-tinged center on the obverse. The reverse is awash in pinkish-gray with iridescent undertones of blue and pink. Viewing from select angles will elicit vibrant and electric tones on each side that make the in-hand experience of this piece a true treat. The surfaces remain smooth and unflawed even under inspection, asserting Gem quality in every respect. Intensely reflective, sharply struck and very attractive, this 1894 is an outstanding Proof Barber half irrespective of date that approaches the finest known examples.
