FROM THE INCLINE COLLECTION An intense mint luster blooms with a bold vibrance on both sides of this impressive "War Nickel." Incredibly original surfaces, highlighted by a touch of delicate rose-gold iridescent toning. The details are razor sharp in definition, with even the tiniest of architectural details on Monticello fully and crisply detailed. An amazing coin that is one of the finest known examples from a generous wartime mintage of over 104 million pieces. PCGS 30, NGC 1. The most recent example that sold in auction realized $2,280 in February 2020 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is $1,600. Just 2 pieces are graded MS68 FS, nether of which have ever sold in auction, but would certainly bring a five-figure price if and when they do.
