- A very scarce Charlotte gold coin despite it being one of the more available half eagles on the marketplace at any given time. As most pieces have been "worked" over time by unsavvy collectors and coin doctors, CAC approved examples are quite scarce in any grade, and should command a high level of respect. The present piece displays fantastic originality with some crusty old dirt still adhering to the devices.
