- Undated (1853) Round 25 Cents. BG-205. Rarity-6. Liberty Head. MS-62 (PCGS). Gorgeous honey-rose color blankets satiny, boldly struck features. This highly elusive variety is attributed to Joseph Brothers, and the present example is finer by three full grading points than the Jay Roe/second edition Breen-Gillio plate coin, which was certified as PCGS AU-58 in our (Bowers and Merena's) 2003 sale of the Jay Roe Collection (lot 18). Certainly Condition Census for the BG-205 dies, and very desirable for an advanced collection. Provenance: From the Oregon Collection. PCGS Population: 7; 3 finer (MS-64 finest). PCGS# 10390.
