- GREAT BRITAIN. Groat, ND (1464-65). London Mint; mm: rose. Edward IV (first reign). PCGS AU-50. S-2000; N-1567. Light coinage, type Vc. Obverse: Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches; quatrefoils flanking neck; Reverse: Long cross pattee; triple pellets in quarters, with extra pellet in first quarter. Though exhibiting a somewhat irregular flan, this lightly circulated specimen offers an elegant tone and some appealing brilliance remaining in the protected areas. Estimate: $150 - $300.
