详细说明: Ex Washington Rainbows Collection, as noted on the insert. A splendid SUPERB GEM, tied for FINEST graded at PCGS and hailing from the #1 set of Washington quarters, 1932-64, on the PCGS Set Registry. Make no mistake, this beautifully toned example is likely from an original 1952 Mint Set. The cardboard and paper holders are known to have imparted gorgeous toning like this. Somewhat mottled orange-gold patina mingles with olive and rose hues over the majority of the obverse with splashes of original silver contrasting against the patina. The reverse picks up some of the same hues framing the peripheries. Sharply struck devices stand out against the marvelous color. The lustrous surfaces are virtually PRISTINE and have no serious marks of any kind worthy of mention. the eye appeal is wonderful. PCGS 44, NGC 58, CAC 14. There are 7 in MS67+ at PCGS and NONE FINER. There were two examples sold in March 2021, this one at $4,560 and another at $14,400. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $18,500.
