FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION. This stunning toned, bold, SUPERB GEM Proof 1906 quarter was Heaven sent! While not the highest graded, we do consider it to be among the most beautiful examples we have had the pleasure of handling. Concentric rings of rainbow toning cover the surfaces of both the obverse and reverse. The surfaces are flawless and have a great eye appeal. Only 675 Proofs were struck. PCGS 22, NGC 27, CAC 19. With just eight coins graded higher, this coin is a perfect example for anyone seeking a spectacular and visually stunning GEM. The last PCGS/CAC example sold in a March 2013 auction, realizing $4,230. The current PCGS value is listed at $3,350 but this beauty is deserving of an even higher bid.
