An unbelievably high end example of this World War II era condition rarity. Tied for FINEST graded, this 43-S has a sensational look and technical quality to match. Essentially FLAWLESS, this SUPERB GEM has a bold, radiant mint brilliance. The fullness and richness of the luster gleams under a pearly-iridescent tone. There is only a tiny break in the frost that keeps this pleasing example from an even loftier grade. The strike is typical for the date, with just a hint of softness on Liberty's hand, but you can make out the outline of her thumb. Both the technical and aesthetic qualities are incredible, a simply AMAZING Registry Set contender! PCGS 73, NGC 52, CAC 31. PCGS has graded just nine examples in MS67+ and NONE FINER.
