- Gem Proof 1794 Talbot, Allum, and Lee Cent 1794 Talbot, Allum, and Lee cent. Breen-1032, W-8580. Proof-65 RB (PCGS). 155.3 grains. Bright mint color dominates both sides, faded to deep violet in the obverse fields but still showing near full mint brilliance on the reverse. The fields are deeply mirrored and flashy with reflective luster. Fully struck, perfectly centered, and beautiful to behold, one of the finest Proof TAL tokens extant and a prime example of the height of the late 18th century token-coiner’s art.
