- This lovely example sports superior quality and eye appeal for the assigned grade. Both sides are beautifully toned in iridescent rose-russet, pinkish-silver and orange-copper that appears to drift toward the right borders, where the boldest colors are located. The strike comes up a bit soft at the high points, but the luster is nice, and no marks distract the eye during in-hand viewing. The 1920-S is one of the scarcest Walking Liberty half dollars in Mint State, and the present offering represents an opportunity to secure an attractive piece without having to advance to the more costly Gem grade levels.
