1831 Matron Head Cent. N-3. Rarity-1. Medium Letters. MS-63 BN (PCGS). Warm, even, orange-brown patina blankets both sides of this suitably bold example. Actually the strike is quite sharp for the type, waning only modestly along the upper-left obverse border. There are very few abrasions or other blemishes in evidence, leaving the surfaces with an overall smooth "look."
