FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION From our Regency Auction IX, October 2014, where this near GEM was sold as lot 63, and was described as: "This coin is almost a full deep cameo! Deep, electric mirrors have remarkable clarity, cleanliness and intense reflectivity. There are only a few visible, light lines. A very thin, light band of original pale blue frames the rims. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted a bold white and have crisp, full strikes. The eye appeal is tremendous!" Only 1150 Proofs were struck. PCGS 24, NGC 15, CAC 5. We sold two examples in 2018 for $4,290 and $4,348, but this coin sold in 2014 for $5,758. A lovely example, with exceptional eye appeal that will sell for a strong price.
