A totally original GEM Proof 1880 Seated Liberty half. Particularly eye appealing, this one boasts deep mirrors that glow boldly from all over, with exceptionally clear, clean fields with impressive watery reflection. nly a few scattered light lines (you need a glass to see) are what keep this coin from a full PR66 CAM. Both sides are evenly blanketed by a wonderful and totally original layer of moderate golden brown. This coin is NOT dull or drab. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is neat!. PCGS 34, NGC 22, CAC 9. This was the most recent example to sell in auction, hammering for $2,500 in our December 2016 Premier Session Internet only auction.
