- 1933 United States Assay Commission Medal. Bronze. 51 mm. By John R. Sinnock and Adam Pietz. JK AC-78a. Rarity-4. MS-65 (NGC). Beautiful Gem quality surfaces exhibit an overall smooth, golden-bronze appearance on both sides. Secretary of the Treasury Ogden L. Mills appears on the obverse of this issue, one of the more readily obtainable Assay Commission medals of its era. Even so, we have handled only four specimens over the last dozen or so years, including two in the Keusch Collection (Stack's, November 2008). The present example is the finest of this quartet.
