FROM THE SYMPHONY COLLECTION. What an impressive GEM! Honestly, twirling this PQ example in the light, it is hard to imagine that it did not just come off the dies. Brilliant, satiny fields show a bold whirling luster that amplifies the frostiness of the sharply struck devices. Untoned on both sides, the luster is fresh as the day it was minted! PCGS 17, NGC 7, CAC 9. There are 19 coins finer, the vast majority are graded 66+ and we believe they represent multiple submissions of the same coin in hopes of attaining a 67 grade. The most recent PCGS/CAC example sold for $3,819 in September 2013; the last time this GEM sold was in September 2009, where it realized $2,185--but it has a record of $4,025 back in July 2006. You can go ahead and ignore the price guide values for sure. A great looking GEM like this will fit perfectly in ANY high end Registry set. Cert. Number 8365376 PCGS # 5659
