1831 Matron Head Cent. N-11. Rarity-2. Noyes Die State B/B. Medium Letters. AU-55 (PCGS). The strike is sharp on the obverse and reverse and the toning is attractive with light brown dominating the surfaces with a few darker traces mixed in that accent the devices. No specks or spots detract from the high eye appeal. Examination finds a thin die crack connecting most of the obverse stars, another at the tops of the upper portion of the legend on the reverse. Scarce at this grade level and desirable with the added delight of an extensive collector pedigree.
