1885 Liberty Quarter Eagle. AU-58 (PCGS). Secure Holder. 1908 Indian Quarter Eagle. MS-64+ (NGC). One of the "magic dates" in the later Liberty quarter eagle series, the 1885 has a business strike mintage of just 800 pieces. We are delighted to offer this problem free and thoroughly appealing near-Mint survivor, a coin that represents an important bidding opportunity for advanced gold specialist. Minimal wear has left razor sharp striking detail and much of the semi prooflike finish to both sides. Richly toned in a reddish-rose color, with only small, wispy abrasions scattered about that are insignificant in light of the assigned grade. Sure to command a solid bid.
