This is a beautiful, borderline GEM RB example that has a strong visual allure. Richly lustrous surfaces have a wonderful original red and orange hue that dominates, accented by mellowing brown and iridescent accents of pale blue. An exceptional survivor of this popular Lincoln cent variety that is among the most sought of all. PCGS 226, NGC 97, CAC 59. There are just 6 graded MS64+ RB and a mere 10 finer (all MS65 RB). The last one sold nearly two years ago in an online only auction for $6,750 and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $6,500.
