- 1834 Whig Victory. HT-15, Low-7, DeWitt-CE 1834-2, W-10-20a. Rarity-6. Copper. Reeded Edge. MS-63 BN (NGC). 27 mm. Satiny golden-copper surfaces with deeper mahogany highlights around the peripheries. Both sides are impressively smooth in hand with good gloss, the strike sharp apart from a touch of softness to the central high points. This is a scarce variety in an absolute sense that is also conditionally rare in grades above Extremely Fine. We have not handled another Mint State example going back at least 10 years.
