This is a terrific example of a far tougher date and grade to find than most people realize! The quality is HIGH-END.
Deep and super clean mirrors have strong flash. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors have a "watery" like roll. Even though th are toned, the mirrors offer strong clarity. Both sides are evenly covered by a totally original mix of gold/pale blue/lively lavender (this is NOT a dull or drab coin). Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is exceptional!
ONLY 380 were minted. PCGS 12, NGC 12, CAC 12. The last PCGS PR67 to sell via auction brought $5,750. The current Collectors Universe value is $8,250. A pretty much unimprovable coin!
