A second borderline GEM Seated quarter Proof, housed in an ancient NGC encapsulation with a gold CAC bean, and this one, like the other five in this little run, it has a very similar look, clearly kept together in an old collection for many years. Deep blue, gold, and rose patina grace the peripheries of both sides, yielding to a headlight of untoned reflection at the centers. Brilliant, highly reflective mirrored fields have a bold flash throughout. The reverse has a deep cameo look. Clearly undergraded by today's standards, as evidenced by the GOLD CAC tag, this coin is truly special for the grade. Only 1,100 Proofs were struck. PCGS 104, NGC 67, GOLD CAC 1.
