1868 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Proof-65 Ultra Cameo (NGC). CAC. A remarkable specimen of this post-Civil War issue, from an original mintage of just 600 pieces. This Gem Proof is the sole example to be certified as Ultra Cameo, by NGC (none have been rated as Deep Cameo by PCGS). Fully struck with amazingly deep reflectivity seen in the jet-black mirrored fields and bright mint frost noted on the silvery-gray devices. Light gold and speckled russet accents decorate the peripheries.
