This is a fabulously preserved representative of this short-lived type. This is a coin that has so many WOW factors, it is truly a delight to behold for sure! Exceptional, intensely brilliant surfaces gleam boldly from below a dappled blend of slate, amber, and russet tones. The toning is quite pleasing, attesting not just to the supreme originality of this GEM, but also adding to the impressive visual allure. The cartwheel luster blooms vividly on both sides with accents of semi-reflective flash, enlivening the color and sharply struck devices. A strong glass reveals a tiny tick or two, obscured by the toning, and bearing zero impact on the exquisite eye appeal. This is truly an amazing example of the type. PCGS 12, NGC 19, CAC 5.
