详细说明: 1869 Pattern Liberty Quarter Eagle. Judd-770, Pollock-855. Rarity-7-. Aluminum. Reeded Edge. Proof-66 Deep Cameo (PCGS). CAC. Regular dies trial striking of the 1869 Liberty quarter eagle. The surfaces are virtually perfect in their preservation with no troubling marks or spots, and the strike is absolutely full on each of the devices. The reflectivity in the fields contrasts dramatically with the frosted devices. Exceptionally bright for an aluminum coin and unusually well preserved. These aluminum patterns were probably struck for inclusion in sets by the Philadelphia Mint. For identification there is a meandering lintmark on the upper right of the eagle's wing that touches the top of A(MERICA). A wonderfully preserved, exceedingly rare example of this formidable issue.
