- 1900 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-62 (PCGS). With blushes of olive-russet and cobalt blue iridescence drifting toward the borders; the lower right reverse is the most colorful area. Universally mirrored in finish with a sharply executed strike. At 912 coins struck, the 1900 boasts the second highest mintage in the Proof Morgan dollar series after the 1894 (972 pieces produced). The Mint was likely anticipating heightened Proof sales to contemporary collectors in connection with the turn of the century.
