This is a gorgeously toned example of this early Buffalo nickel date. Conditionally rare, this coin ranks among the top 20 seen by both PCGS and NGC. Highly lustrous surfaces have a bold sunset blend of gold, yellow, orange, and crimson at the lower obverse rim with brilliant sky blue and rose color. A similar toning pattern is seen on the reverse. We only note a few tiny ticks scattered about, visible with a very powerful loupe. The eye appeal is spectacular. PCGS 5, NGC 0. There is only a single example that has sold, back in 2016. The current PCGS value is listed at $2,650 and this coin should hit that level, and keep in mind that a 67 has a value that is more than ten times higher! A great coin for anyone working on a set of Buffalo nickels, and rarely do we see examples so wonderfully toned! Cert. Number 37140321 PCGS # 003937
