This handsome and distinctively toned Prooflike Morgan is sure to please even the pickiest of collectors. A halo of deep red gold with hints of violet surrounds mostly white centers and lends to this coin's distinctive appearance. Well struck with strong details. Deeply mirrored fields provide excellent contrast with the crisp devices. The mirrors magnify light contact marks that are appropriate for the assigned grade. Housed in an old NGC "fatty" holder. PCGS 74, NGC 39, CAC 9. Only 19 examples are graded higher combined at NGC and PCGS. The current Collectors Universe price guide value is $1,800. Prior to this one selling for $1,485 in our September 2018 Regency Auction, there were no recent auction records for NGC graded coins (last one was in 2009!).
